Plant Genomics and Gene Editing Congress: Europe, Netherlands

Barbara Pipan, PhD from Agricultural Institute od Slovenia attended the International Conference on Plant Genetics, held on the 14th and 15th of May 2018 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. SEMINAR ABOUT INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY IN RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

On Thursday, 15th of February 2018, a Seminar about the role of intellectual property in research activities was held at the headquarter of Agricultural Institute of Slovenia (KIS). The Seminar was organized within the framework of SLO-ACE project activities. Helena Valas, M.Sc. (KIS) outlined intellectual property rights in the research gray-2-green environment. Marta Šabec, M.Sc. and Petra Žagar (both representatives from Ministry of education, science and sport) presented Partnership Instruments in the field of European Research, Development and Innovation.

MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS AND INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIVES

In the afternoon a round table was organized by representatives from the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia (Andrej Simončič, PhD – Director, Vladimir Meglič, PhD – Project Coordinator, Meta Čandek-Potokar, PhD, Franc Čuš, PhD, Peter Dolničar, PhD – Heads of research fields) with representatives at www.themommiesreviews.com of research institutions. THE INITIATION WORKSHOP OF SLO-ACE PROJECT

The Initiation Workshop for end-users was held at the headquarters of the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia on Tuesday, 7th of November 2017.

After the welcome address of the coordinator Vladimir Meglič, PhD (KIS) and presentation of the SLO-ACE project activities, the guest speaker Andreja Kutnar, PhD from the University of Primorska presented the InnoRenew Center of Excellence and Hans-Josef Schroers, PhD (KIS) showed to the invitees an example of the good practice of the European project: CropSustaIn project platform for the documentation oscientific networking activities.

In the continuation of the event, a short presentation of SLO-ACE partners was given by, Bénédicte Lebret, PhD (INRA), Mogens Nicolaisen, PhD (AU), and Vladimir Meglič, PhD (on behalf of KIS director Andrej Simončič, PhD).

In the afternoon, parallel sessions were organized. KICK-OFF MEETING OF THE SLO-ACE PROJECT

On Wednesday, 26th of September 2017, the Kick-Off Meeting of EU Teaming project with acronym SLO-ACE was held at the headquarters of the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia in Ljubljana. The project is funded within the European Union’s Research and Innovation Program H2020.

The leading partner, Agricultural Institute of Slovenia (KIS) and its partner institutions from Denmark and France, the Aarhus University (AU) and Institut National de la recherche agronomique  (INRA), presented the aims and scope of the partnership – the creation of a center of excellence in agriculture and the strengthening of research and innovation cooperation at norgescasino online casino reviews.

In the beginning the audience was addressed by the Director of the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, Andrej Simončič, PhD and the project coordinator of SLO-ACE, Vladimir Meglič, PhD, who presented the aims and importance of the project for the Institute and the Slovenian agriculture research environment. The governmental support for this ambitious project was emphasized by the high representatives of the Ministry of the education, science and sports, state secretary Tomaž Boh, PhD, and director of agriculture directorate at the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and food, Mrs. Tadeja Kvas Majer. At the end, the representatives of partnering institutes , Aarhus University (Per Gregersen, Mogens Nicolaisen, Hanne Lakkenborg Kristensen) and INRA (Jean-François Hocquette, Remy Ghidossi, Bénédicte Lebret) presented their institutions and their role in the project SLO-ACE.
